Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, is seeking a Technical Account Manager based in Barcelona to lead professional services engagements across the Iberia region. This hybrid role combines remote work with on-site customer visits and occasional overnight travel.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, architecture, coordination, and management of professional services projects focused on data protection, availability solutions, and monitoring. Your expertise will span data management, data analytics, business continuity, data center infrastructure, cloud platforms, operating systems, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and managing availability and data protection solution implementations
- Providing input on proposals and Statements of Work
- Supporting delivery and consulting services to meet solution design and deliverables
- Providing overall project guidance including plans, schedules, communication, and resource management
- Assessing and designing solutions, troubleshooting post-installation issues
- Estimating implementation effort for Veeam solutions
- Creating technical documentation, white papers, solutions guides, and best practices
- Delivering on-site knowledge transfer and training
- Analyzing installed environments and optimizing Veeam configurations
- Facilitating communication between clients and Veeam support
- Identifying upsell opportunities within client environments
- Contributing to process and documentation improvements
This is a technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, data protection platforms, and project delivery. You will work with large enterprise customers, managing complex multi-project portfolios while maintaining high technical standards.
Requirements:
- VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent certification/experience
- Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management certification/experience
- Bachelor's degree in technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Hands-on experience with Veeam's core products
- Proven consulting and project management experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Significant hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with disruptive storage systems (Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, Veeam, etc.)
- Hands-on networking protocols and equipment knowledge (Fibre Channel, Ethernet, Cloud services)
- Experience with traditional storage and backup architectures (EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, Dell, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Extensive data center, business continuity, and operating systems experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and accounts
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, capabilities, and protocols
- Business proficiency in Spanish, Catalan, and English (required for Iberia region)
- Must be permanently located in Spain; remote work only available to Spain-based employees
