As Technical Account Manager for the APJ region, you will be the primary post-sale contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of enterprise, government, and partner accounts. This role blends relationship management with hands-on technical fluency—you'll guide customers on platform workflows, integrations, and API usage; translate technical capabilities into business value for executives; and help operationalize Censys within their security programs. As one of the first dedicated post-sale hires in APJ, you will shape how Censys engages the region and serve as the voice of APJ customers internally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and managing enterprise, government, and partner accounts across APJ
- Acting as primary technical advisor and post-sale point of contact
- Leading onboarding, implementation, and integration planning (cloud connectors, Splunk, Jira, ServiceNow, SIEM/SOAR, APIs)
- Developing success plans aligned to customer security priorities
- Conducting business reviews, adoption reviews, and roadmap discussions
- Monitoring product adoption, usage trends, and health indicators
- Identifying and mitigating risks (stakeholder turnover, low adoption, budget risk)
- Partnering with Account Executives on renewals and expansion opportunities
- Supporting channel and MSSP partners
- Serving as voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams
- Contributing to scalable customer success processes for the APJ region
You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Support, Marketing, and Engineering, operating with autonomy while collaborating across time zones.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of Technical Account Management, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, or related experience in B2B SaaS (ideally cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, or networking)
- Experience supporting customers across APJ region and understanding of regional market dynamics
- Solid understanding of computer networking, internet protocols, and internet fundamentals
- Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and comfort discussing security concepts
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders
- Experience managing renewals and identifying expansion opportunities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Curiosity, willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly
- Willingness to travel within APJ and periodically to Censys HQ (Ann Arbor, Michigan)
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional APJ language (Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Bahasa) is a plus
Differentiators:
- Experience with SOC, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, or Security Engineering teams
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts (attack surface management, asset discovery, threat intelligence, vulnerability prioritization)
- Understanding of OSI Model Layers 3, 4, and 7; SSL/TLS and certificates
- Scripting or programming experience (Python); familiarity with REST APIs
- Experience with government or regulated-industry customers in APJ
- Channel or MSSP partner model experience
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Gainsight, Zendesk, Jira, or similar tools
- Previous start-up experience
