Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America, combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at lower cost. The company recently raised $1.37B in Series D funding at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, and additive manufacturing. As Tech Lead for Offensive Security, you will build and lead Hadrian's offensive security function from the ground up. This is a hands-on principal role for someone with elite red-team experience who wants to own an entire offensive security function. Hadrian's software-defined, ITAR-controlled factories represent a high-value target, and your mission is to identify vulnerabilities before adversaries do—across manufacturing software, robotics and OT systems, cloud infrastructure, corporate systems, physical devices, and AI systems. Key responsibilities include: building and running offensive security operations including red-team work, penetration testing, and adversary emulation across software, robotics/OT, cloud, and physical devices; performing reverse engineering and vulnerability research on firmware, embedded controllers, and third-party components in the manufacturing environment; developing AI-driven offensive tooling to scale coverage and assess the security of Hadrian's AI and autonomy systems; driving findings to remediation with engineering and blue teams; running purple-team exercises; measuring risk reduction over time; and representing Hadrian's security posture to customers, auditors, and DoD stakeholders. Required qualifications: deep, hands-on red-team and penetration-testing experience at a top-tier engineering organization (e.g., Block, Stripe, Anthropic, Google, AWS); strong reverse engineering skills using tools like Ghidra, IDA Pro, or Binary Ninja with a track record of finding and weaponizing real vulnerabilities; proficiency building offensive tooling in Python, Go, or C/C++; ability to leverage AI to accelerate offensive work; ability to operate fully autonomously and set strategy without an initial team; U.S. person status under ITAR regulations. Desirable qualifications include hardware, embedded, or OT/ICS security experience (JTAG/UART, firmware extraction, industrial protocols); recognized external presence with talks at DEF CON, Black Hat, or Recon and published research or CVEs; experience attacking or securing AI and agentic systems; background in aerospace, defense, robotics, or manufacturing; experience standing up a red team or offensive program from zero.
