As Tech Lead Manager, you'll own the technical vision and execution for one or more core engineering teams. Your responsibilities span both hands-on technical leadership and formal people management of 2-5 direct reports. You'll define technical roadmaps, system architecture, and engineering standards while remaining deeply involved in code—writing production code, conducting code reviews, and solving critical technical bottlenecks.
You'll partner closely with Product and Design as a technical peer, sitting in customer calls to build intuition for how social and brand teams use the platform. You'll mentor senior engineers, raise the technical bar through pair programming and architecture reviews, and drive systemic code quality and best practices.
The role requires balancing strategic thinking with execution. You'll establish CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring, and post-mortem processes; conduct technical interviews and assessments to scale the engineering team; and own formal management responsibilities including 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development.
Your team builds products that ingest large volumes of social data, run AI agents in real time, and deliver insights through analytics and automation. You'll work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where engineering is product-facing and roles cross over seamlessly.
Required: 8+ years software engineering experience with 2+ years formally managing direct reports on a high-performing team. You need strong architectural intuition, full-stack proficiency, product acumen, and comfort in startup ambiguity. AI literacy—hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents—is essential. Bonus: prior startup experience, AI-powered systems architecture at scale, familiarity with React, TypeScript, AWS, Pulumi, Postgres, ClickHouse, or Turbopuffer, and mobile/React Native leadership.
