As Tech Lead, you will drive technical strategy and delivery across multiple engineering teams within your group. You'll take ownership of system design, architecture, development, quality assurance, and production deployment for solutions with company-wide impact. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing robust, scalable backend systems that address both technical and business challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Design/UX, DevOps, R&D), and navigating trade-offs in solving novel problems.
You will represent your team in design reviews, sign off on critical architectural decisions, and contribute to group-wide technical standards. You'll proactively identify group-level challenges and develop scalable, innovative solutions. A key part of the role involves mentoring engineers, participating in hiring, and contributing to the professional growth of the engineering organization.
Required: 7+ years backend software engineering experience with technical leadership exposure. Expertise in C#, Java, or similar OOP languages; advanced SQL and database management; microservices architecture; software design principles and algorithms. You should have a track record of influencing cross-team initiatives and mentoring engineers. BA/BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
Desirable: Agile methodologies, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), message queues/streaming (RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka).
