As Team Lead for Quality Assurance & Vehicle Inspection, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring vehicle reports, auctions, and data processes meet the standards expected by customers and partners. You will manage day-to-day operations, oversee team output quality (reports, data maintenance, auction adjustments), and ensure KPIs around accuracy, efficiency, and timelines are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and achieving team goals and KPIs focused on accuracy, efficiency, and timelines
- Reviewing team work output for quality and standard compliance
- Leading the team through daily operations and providing technical guidance on complex or critical tasks
- Taking ownership of process issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions or developing new processes as needed
- Contributing to projects and driving process improvements within the OKR framework
- Creating work schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring structured workflows
- Communicating regularly with the team, sharing updates, best practices, and feedback
- Serving as primary point of contact for the team while thinking cross-functionally to solve broader process issues
The role is hybrid: 3 days in the Berlin Schöneberg office, 2 days remote, plus 10 days "work from anywhere" annually.
Requirements:
- Experience in disciplinary team leadership, or a clear understanding of how to lead a team
- Ability to motivate, develop, and set clear goals for team members
- High ownership mentality: proactive problem-solving, both within your team and across functions
- Strong independence and reliability in process management
- Experience in quality assurance, ideally in vehicles or auctions
- Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with standard office applications and quick learning of new systems
- German language skills at C1 level (written and spoken); English B1 minimum
Preferred qualifications:
- Completed apprenticeship or professional experience in automotive (e.g., mechanic, mechatronics technician, automotive sales), or strong personal interest in vehicles with willingness to develop expertise in vehicle assessment and quality inspection
