Auxmoney is seeking a Team Leader Engineering to lead an autonomous agile team building and scaling core digital lending solutions. This is a hybrid role combining disciplinary and technical leadership with hands-on development.
In this position, you will lead by example, guiding technical decision-making and owning architecture and delivery outcomes. You'll support engineer growth through regular feedback, coaching, and transparent expectations while actively contributing production code, reviewing pull requests, and participating in incident handling. You'll design and implement new features and architectural improvements with focus on scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
Key responsibilities include setting clear technical standards and driving comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, load, end-to-end), strengthening observability and reliability through monitoring and performance analysis, and collaborating closely with Product, QA, and engineering teams to translate business goals into robust technical execution. You'll foster a documentation culture by creating and maintaining RFCs, ADRs, and API documentation.
Required qualifications: proven technical leadership experience in agile environments, mentoring capability with strong feedback skills, ability to balance hands-on work with stakeholder coordination, and several years of backend development with OOP languages (PHP/Symfony and MySQL preferred). You need strong system design skills, solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud architectures, CI/CD pipeline experience, and deep API design knowledge. Professional English proficiency required; German a plus.
Nice-to-have: domain knowledge in credit risk, pricing, data-driven decisioning, and scoring.
