Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The Regulatory Reporting group is foundational to Adyen's licensed financial operations, enabling compliance with regulators, central banks, and supervisory authorities worldwide through accurate, auditable, and timely reporting across tax, prudential, and statistical regimes. As Engineering Manager for Regulatory Reporting Data, you will lead a cross-functional team of engineers and data specialists to build and operate reporting products that are accurate, reliable, timely, scalable, and auditable. You'll translate evolving regulatory requirements into robust engineering solutions while working closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and product teams. Key responsibilities include: driving the team toward measurable business outcomes that reduce operational friction in the reporting cycle; managing stakeholders across the organization to align regulatory initiatives with company vision; championing fast iteration while respecting hard regulatory deadlines and accuracy requirements; partnering on prioritization and roadmapping to balance technical debt, regulatory change, and new capabilities; mentoring and growing engineering talent through hiring and development; providing architectural direction for large-scale data and software projects ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and auditability; and cultivating a culture of ownership and open communication. You bring 2+ years of engineering team leadership and 5+ years of hands-on software or data engineering experience. You have personally owned end-to-end deliveries with external deadlines and real consequences for failure. You possess strong technical foundations in languages like Java or Python, with production experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines. You excel at explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and aligning diverse needs into unified roadmaps. Regulatory reporting or financial services experience is valued but not required. You thrive in fast-paced environments, drive initiatives from ideation to completion, and possess curiosity about automation and data infrastructure improvements.
