Payoneer is a global financial platform founded in 2005 that simplifies cross-border business operations for over 2.5 million users across 190+ countries. The company provides payments, compliance, multi-currency management, workforce solutions, and business intelligence tools.
As Team Lead for R&D Pricing & Packaging, you will lead a software engineering team building the monetization platform—the pricing and packaging engines that power Payoneer's core business model. This is a hands-on management role combining technical leadership with people development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead an autonomous team of software engineers collaborating with product management to achieve business goals
- Own complex features end-to-end and influence architecture and technical standards
- Mentor team members and focus on their professional development
- Provide hands-on technical authority, demonstrating leadership through code and design decisions
- Own overall design, development, architecture, code quality, and production deployment
- Collaborate with Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams
- Shape how services are designed, built, deployed, and operated in AWS
Required qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years backend development experience with Node.js and practical C# experience
- 3+ years advanced SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- 4+ years managerial experience (required)
- SaaS platform and AWS cloud experience
- Containers and Kubernetes (preferably EKS)
- Message brokers (RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka preferred)
- Microservices development
- Strong OOP and design patterns knowledge
- Engineering best practices: code reviews, testing, Agile
Desirable: Full-stack development (Angular, React), Redis, Entity Framework ORM, Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
