Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving investment professionals, managing nearly $9 trillion in assets across 1,400+ firms in 60 countries. As Team Lead, Field Engineer, you will operate as a player-coach: leading a team of field engineers while personally executing the most complex, mission-critical technical work. You'll serve as the technical anchor for your team and Addepar's technical vanguard in the field, translating complex business requirements into production-grade integrations, automations, and data solutions.
You will architect, build, and deliver custom integrations, automations, and data pipelines using Addepar's APIs, ADX (Databricks), and modern engineering tools. Key responsibilities include managing team work allocation across simultaneous client engagements, guiding issue resolution, and maintaining alignment with stakeholders. You'll design and implement production-grade solutions that improve client onboarding efficiency and enable operational scale, leveraging AI, LLMs, and machine learning for data transformation and reconciliation challenges.
As the technical owner for ADX implementations, you'll design robust data infrastructure within Databricks to streamline client data onboarding and analytics. You'll write and review production-quality Python code for ETL pipelines, API integrations, and automation tooling. Your role includes translating ambiguous client requirements into flexible, scalable technical solutions through discovery, prototyping, and iterative delivery.
You'll support career development by providing continuous feedback and mentoring engineers as they grow. You'll identify opportunities to improve tools, workflows, and automation for greater team efficiency, develop internal frameworks and best practices, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Services teams to identify productization opportunities and influence the platform roadmap. You'll act as a technical advisor and trusted partner to clients, proactively identifying opportunities to drive additional value.
The role requires 8+ years of software or data engineering experience with demonstrated experience guiding or leading other engineers. You need advanced Python proficiency for production-grade applications, APIs, and data pipelines; strong understanding of REST APIs and integration architecture; hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, and distributed data processing; proficiency in SQL; and experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines for complex data transformations. Familiarity with AI/ML tools is expected. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Pune office during UK shift hours (2:30 PM–11:30 PM IST).
