Immersve is building a decentralized payments protocol that bridges real-world and Metaverse transactions, enabling cryptocurrency and token holders to spend their holdings in local fiat currency at merchants or transact in the Metaverse. As Team Lead Engineer, you will manage day-to-day team activities while maintaining high code quality and scalability across APIs, UIs, infrastructure-as-code, and tests. You'll mentor less experienced engineers, communicate regularly with stakeholders on progress and alignment, and contribute to product design and roadmap scoping in a remote-first, highly collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and mentoring engineers on daily activities and growth
- Ensuring codebase quality and scalability for future development
- Communicating clearly on status, progress, and expectations
- Leading across the full product lifecycle from design through delivery
- Implementing DevOps practices and establishing new tools and patterns
- Demonstrating strong developer principles focused on code quality and performance
- Working with bleeding-edge technologies in a continuous delivery mindset
The role is full-stack, requiring comfort across cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, and UIs. You'll work with TypeScript, Vue, Tailwind, Cypress, Node.js, Hapi, Cucumber, Solidity, Substrate, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and DynamoDB. While familiarity with all technologies is not required, you should be interested in learning and ideally have exposure to or curiosity about blockchain and smart contract development.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a team lead or engineering manager managing engineers
- Full-stack software engineering expertise (cloud infrastructure, databases, APIs, UIs)
- Strong coding skills and commitment to code quality and performance
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery practices
- Ability to contribute to high-level technical design and mentor others
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Team player mentality with initiative in reaching out to stakeholders
- Comfortable working in small batches and verifying work at each increment
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn TypeScript, Node.js, Vue, AWS, Docker, and Terraform
- Preferred: exposure to or curiosity about blockchain and smart contract development
