Advanced Navigation is a global innovator in AI robotics and navigation technologies serving aerospace, defense, autonomous systems, and space applications. As a Senior Electronics Engineer within the Navigation Solutions team, you will own the electronic design of new products and design updates across Advanced Navigation's product range. You will drive electronics development from first concept through mass-market production, working throughout the entire development cycle. Your role bridges hardware and software, collaborating closely with embedded software and mechanical engineering teams to ensure designs meet all technical and manufacturing requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and review PCB schematic designs and layouts using Altium Designer
- Simulate and optimize circuits in LTSpice
- Design and review analog signal chain processing circuits (filters, amplifiers, etc.) and digital signal circuits including high-speed interfaces
- Develop and review mixed-signal processing chains (A-D and D-A conversion)
- Implement Design for Manufacture and Testability principles
- Collaborate with software teams to ensure hardware meets embedded requirements
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure electronic design integrates properly
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering
- 7+ years of experience designing and developing complex electronics
- Basic ability to work with 3D models in Solidworks or similar CAD packages
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools: SPICE, Altium Designer, MATLAB
- Demonstrated expertise in PCBA design (8+ layers), Rigid-Flex boards, and high-speed communications (>100 MHz)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain complex systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Curious mindset with intrinsic drive to learn complex technical frameworks quickly
- Strong attention to detail combined with bias for action and decisive problem-solving
