FlixBus is seeking a Team Lead for Business Development to manage operations and growth across the Black Sea region (Romania, Bulgaria, Greece). This role combines strategic partner acquisition with operational oversight of regulatory and compliance processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of BD professionals in Bucharest and Sofia, setting priorities, tracking KPIs, and removing operational blockers
- Identifying and acquiring new bus partners while building long-term strategic relationships
- Managing the full sales lifecycle from initial contact through contract execution, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and timelines
- Overseeing preparation and verification of documentation for county, inter-county, and international transport permits
- Managing operational planning activities including timetables, price lists, itineraries, and driver schedules
- Coordinating bus stop authorization processes across national and international networks with regulatory bodies
- Supporting market expansion and new country launches as the key interface between BD and internal teams (Network Planning, Operations, Legal, Finance)
You bring 5+ years of business development, partner management, or operations experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, or mobility. Previous team lead or supervisory experience is mandatory. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Transport & Logistics, or related field. You are proficient in MS Office and CRM tools, fluent in Romanian and professional English, with solid understanding of road transport regulations and licensing procedures. Experience with regulatory bodies, transport documentation preparation, and CPC certification (EC Regulation 1071/2009) are strong advantages. You excel at communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration, managing multiple stakeholders and KPIs with strong organizational and proactive skills.
