Eucalyptus is a leading consumer healthcare platform supporting millions of patients across the US, Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Spain, and Canada. The company operates a portfolio of digital healthcare clinics (Pilot, Kin, Software, Compound) focused on men's health, fertility, skincare, and preventative health. Recently acquired by Hims & Hers, Eucalyptus is scaling globally with ambitious plans to support 1 million patients within three years. The Tax & Compliance Accountant role is based in Manila and supports the Philippine shared services entity, which provides back-office support to Eucalyptus brands globally. This is a hands-on position that will transition compliance responsibilities from external advisors to in-house ownership. Key responsibilities include: - Prepare and file Philippine corporate income tax returns, withholding taxes on compensation and expanded withholding, with supporting schedules and reconciliations - Manage SEC obligations including annual reporting and audited financial statements - Maintain BOI registration and incentive reporting to ensure compliance with conditions - Build internal expertise on BIR, SEC, and BOI requirements by working closely with external advisors, tracking regulatory changes, and documenting processes for team use - Serve as day-to-day point of contact for local tax agents and statutory auditors - Support intercompany and cross-border compliance, including related-party disclosures and transfer pricing documentation - Assist with BIR audits and assessments by gathering documentation and drafting responses - Support month-end close, reconciliations, and audit readiness for the Philippine entity - Document processes to ensure compliance runs on systems rather than individual knowledge You will report to the Tax Lead and work closely with finance teams across Australia and the UK. The role deliberately spans tax, accounting, and legal boundaries, requiring flexibility and a willingness to support where needs are greatest. Requirements: - 3–5 years of tax and statutory compliance experience in the Philippines (Big 4, mid-tier practice, or in-house at multinational/shared services center) - Hands-on experience preparing Philippine tax returns (corporate income tax and withholding taxes); must have prepared and filed these personally, not only reviewed or observed - Hands-on experience with BIR, SEC, and BOI processes; understanding of regulatory expectations and good documentation practices; exposure to BIR audit or assessment is a plus - CPA qualification or working towards it (desirable rather than essential; strong practical experience prioritized) - Genuine curiosity about technical regulatory detail; preference for reading regulations independently rather than waiting to be told - Organized and reliable with statutory deadlines that cannot slip - Comfortable working across tax, accounting, and legal functions with deliberately soft boundaries - Clear communicator across time zones, able to explain Philippine regulation to colleagues in Australia and UK unfamiliar with local requirements - Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-scaling, post-acquisition business where processes are still being built - NetSuite experience is a nice-to-have, not required
