Zopa is a fintech company founded in 2005 as the first peer-to-peer lending platform, now operating as Zopa Bank. This role is a B2B Fraud Specialist focused on investigating and mitigating fraud risk across the company's partner ecosystem.
In this position, you will investigate monitoring alerts and unusual partner activity by analyzing transactional data, customer reports, and company information to build a clear picture of potential fraud risk. You'll make proportionate, well-reasoned recommendations and work closely with Account Management, Fraud Operations, and analysts to test concerns and agree on next steps. You'll support decisions on enhanced due diligence, changes to trading terms, controls adjustments, additional friction, monitoring requirements, and partner offboarding.
You'll help design, document, and continuously improve processes for partner risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, and escalation procedures. Using dashboards and data analysis, you'll identify unusual patterns and emerging fraud typologies, turning insights into practical action. You'll contribute to developing effective management information that clearly communicates risks, trends, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
Collaboration is key: you'll partner with Technology, Data teams, and external providers to improve tools, data sources, and third-party solutions for ongoing partner checks. You'll help balance customer protection, fraud prevention, and commercial growth across a significant multi-million-pound business area. You'll also stay current with B2B fraud trends and help colleagues strengthen controls as the portfolio evolves.
The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in the London office, with flexibility to work abroad up to 120 days annually (subject to work authorization).
