This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on building an innovative, agile capability model and tech-forward development ecosystem that delivers blended learning experiences embedded in the flow of work.
You will spearhead the design and development of Gusto's enterprise capability framework across individual contributor and leadership tracks, managing the full product lifecycle of learning solutions from user discovery and MVP prototyping through shipping, scaling, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include:

• Own architectural design for modular content and automated governance, establishing standards for chunking, tagging, and dynamic updates
• Collaborate with HR business partners and executive stakeholders to analyze skill data, validate capabilities, and align learning investments with business goals
• Work with People Technology teams to define functional and technical requirements for the capability engine, productizing learning experiences within HR tech platforms and daily workflows
• Partner with executive and business leaders to diagnose emerging capability needs and translate operational priorities into clear, accessible training
The Talent Development team acts as a strategic partner to the business, moving beyond traditional programs to design organizational conditions that create clarity, connection, and commitment. You will leverage strong cross-functional judgment and translate validated capability data into scalable standards, establishing a single source of truth across the organization.

• Ability to instrument learning assets with data tracking to measure efficacy (click-through, completion, knowledge gain) and use insights to iteratively optimize content
• Experience integrating generative AI or automation into the content production pipeline as a tool to speed up prototyping, drafting, or adaptive pathing
• Proven experience with A/B testing and rapid prototyping, using clear data signals as the primary driver for ongoing iterations
