Broccoli AI is building AI teammates for contractors in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services. The company has grown to $20M+ ARR in under two years and is backed by Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator. As a Talent Associate, you will be the operational backbone of Broccoli's recruiting function. You'll coordinate the full interview lifecycle—phone screens, interviews, onsites, and final rounds—across multiple departments while managing competing priorities and last-minute changes. You'll maintain accurate candidate records and interview stages in Ashby, ensuring the hiring pipeline remains clear and organized. Key responsibilities include: - Coordinating phone screens, interviews, onsites, and final rounds across departments - Building and improving recruiting processes, including interview templates, email templates, scorecards, and workflows in Ashby - Keeping Ashby updated with accurate candidate records, interview stages, and feedback - Following up with interviewers on feedback and proactively resolving bottlenecks - Coordinating onsites end-to-end: agendas, work samples, interview panels, interviewer prep, and candidate experience - Maintaining timely candidate communication with clear next steps - Coordinating offers, reference checks, and handoffs to HR for onboarding - Taking on additional recruiting responsibilities (phone screens, sourcing) as you grow in the role This is an opportunity to own a critical function at an early-stage, high-growth startup and help shape how the company hires as it scales. REQUIREMENTS: - At least one year of interview coordination experience in-house or at an agency - Background in recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, or similar fast-paced role involving high-volume scheduling and stakeholder management - Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment without letting details slip - Track record of improving a process, building a workflow, or creating a system that made a team more effective - Proactive approach to work; ability to anticipate what needs to happen next without waiting for direction - Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership over accurate systems and data - Clear, warm communication skills and ability to work effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and executives - Interest in building a career in recruiting and developing new skills beyond coordination over time NICE TO HAVE: - Experience supporting hiring across multiple departments (sales, engineering, customer success, operations), including high-volume roles - Previous experience at a high-growth startup, recruiting agency, or staffing firm - Familiarity with an ATS like Ashby, particularly building workflows, managing interview processes, or maintaining recruiting reports - Exposure to sourcing or phone screening candidates
