Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Tactical Network Engineer with cybersecurity expertise to lead the design and implementation of networking infrastructure for command and control (C2) and collaborative autonomy of distributed unmanned systems. This role is part of the Connected Warfare Division, which builds mission-critical systems enabling global command and control for multi-domain operations. Key responsibilities include: - Lead integration of emerging networking capabilities and hardware/software products into the family of systems - Decompose networking requirements across cross-functional teams and define success metrics in ambiguous environments - Design network configurations from complex design reference missions involving large-scale unmanned systems and forward-deployed C2 infrastructure - Design, implement, deploy, and troubleshoot networking solutions across OSI layers 1-4 (Physical, Data, Network, Transport) with focus on security and industry standards - Own end-to-end systems, identifying and solving networking problems, analyzing performance, and making informed tradeoffs - Conduct trade-off studies comparing different communications and networking solutions, including government-provided technologies - Build robust tooling for network traffic benchmarking and analysis - Analyze test network infrastructure and implement improvements for reliability and throughput in edge network environments - Collaborate with software engineers to develop modeling, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop lab infrastructure Required qualifications: 7+ years with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), enterprise networking, CI/CD tools, and software infrastructure fundamentals. Deep expertise in tactical line-of-sight (LOS) and beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) RF systems, ad-hoc mesh networking, secure communication protocols (IPSec/MACSec), software-defined networking, TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols. Experience with commercial mesh networking radios. Must possess and maintain active U.S. Secret Clearance. Willing to travel up to 25% for field testing. Preferred: network modeling/simulation tools, tactical communications (SatCom, VHF/UHF, LPI/LPD, anti-jamming, MIMO, antenna theory), cloud networking and cybersecurity, electronic warfare (EW) technologies, spectrum management.
