Salary: USD 125,000 - 150,000 / annual
Skyryse is developing SkyOS, an advanced avionics control system designed to simplify aircraft management during standard operations, adverse weather, and emergencies. The company is building technology to make aviation safer and more accessible.
As a Systems Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in validating and integrating complex avionics systems. You'll work in a high-tempo environment supporting systems test activities across multiple engineering disciplines including guidance/navigation/control (GNC), perception, safety, systems, flight test, and software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing, executing, and maintaining test procedures and documentation for avionics systems and subsystems integration
- Supporting system-level integration efforts in the Systems Integration Lab (SIL), maintaining configuration control and traceability
- Building, integrating, and troubleshooting harnesses and wiring for lab and aircraft applications
- Preparing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM) for test articles and lab hardware
- Coordinating with suppliers on environmental and EMI/EMC testing, including witnessing tests and reviewing plans/results
- Identifying and documenting test anomalies, supporting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Contributing to process improvements in test methodologies and integration workflows
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic aerospace environment focused on safety-critical systems. The role requires hands-on technical work at the bench and aircraft level, with exposure to regulated aerospace certification practices.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience) plus 2+ years of technical avionics experience. Preferred: Master's degree, hands-on avionics/electromechanical integration experience, familiarity with lab test equipment and harness fabrication, understanding of aircraft systems integration, and exposure to aerospace certification activities.
