SmithRx is a venture-backed healthtech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector with a next-generation drug acquisition platform. The company has onboarded hundreds of thousands of members since 2016 and is rapidly scaling across the country. As Systems Support Specialist, you will be the primary steward of technology and systems for a dedicated SmithRx office location in Plano, TX. This is a hands-on, on-site role (Monday–Friday) that goes well beyond standard help desk support. You'll own the day-to-day operational health, security posture, and strategic technology initiatives for the office while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. Key responsibilities include: - Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and cloud-based systems, minimizing downtime for office teams - Manage Windows and macOS fleet administration, including Mobile Device Management (MDM), automated provisioning, patch management, security baselines, and application distribution - Lead end-to-end enterprise technology deployments, internal tool architecture, and comprehensive security audits - Manage user identity and access through the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, role changes, offboarding) using automated workflows - Resolve incidents using ticketing systems, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term stability improvements - Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend critical systems support - Create and maintain internal documentation, system configurations, and self-help guides - Ensure all vendors and systems adhere to HIPAA guidelines and industry best practices You will bring 3+ years of experience in systems support, technical operations, or high-growth tech environments. You have strong working knowledge of macOS, Windows, and SaaS administration (identity management, cloud productivity tools). You're skilled at diagnosing complex technical issues, have an owner's mindset, and can work independently while collaborating with a distributed security team. Experience with enterprise Windows fleet management tools, MDM platforms, and security-first thinking is essential.
