Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to drive security engineering and operational security across Australian and corporate ICT environments. This is a hands-on technical role, not a compliance or policy position. You will work alongside a small infrastructure team responsible for designing, hardening, and operating networks accredited under the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the ASD Information Security Manual (ISM). The role spans both government-accredited Australian environments and corporate network security tooling. Key responsibilities include: - Own and operate security tooling across Australian and corporate networks, including deployment, configuration, tuning, patching, and lifecycle management - Administer and mature the Australian network's security stack: application whitelisting, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, endpoint antivirus, and privileged access management - Support corporate network security platforms including EDR, IAM, PAM, and device trust/compliance - Drive Essential Eight maturity uplift with focus on application control, patching, privileged access restriction, MFA, and backups - Develop and maintain SIEM use cases, detection rules, correlation searches, and dashboards - Conduct vulnerability assessments, analyze findings, prioritize remediation, and track closure - Perform security hardening of Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, storage, and network devices per ASD guidance and ISM - Contribute to security architecture assessments, threat modeling, and risk assessments - Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to integrate security into system designs and procedures - Support system accreditation activities including security documentation and evidence gathering - Brief security posture, risks, and recommendations to management and government stakeholders - Assist with security incident response and investigation Required: 3+ years in cyber security engineering, security operations, systems security, infrastructure security, or security architecture. Hands-on experience with at least three security platform types (application whitelisting, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, EDR, PAM, or IAM). Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server hardening, and Kerberos. Familiarity with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight, and ASD guidance. Excellent communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain NV2 security clearance. Preferred: Existing NV2 clearance, experience in high-security government-accredited environments, Windows Server and VMware vSphere administration expertise, enterprise backup and recovery platform experience.
