Salary: USD 71,200 - 142,800 / annual

Nutanix Worldwide Support is seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer II to join a global organization providing 24/7 support across 150+ countries in 20 languages. The team maintains a 96% customer satisfaction rating and 90+ NPS score, driven by passionate technology specialists. In this role, you will work directly with customers to troubleshoot, debug, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues across virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud infrastructure. You'll collaborate with Nutanix's development engineering team to identify product defects and improvement opportunities, while also working with technology partners like VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft to resolve ecosystem issues. Key responsibilities include: - Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues for enterprise customers - Testing new features and developing tools to scale deployments and auto-support infrastructure - Analyzing the customer install base to identify and minimize risks - Providing dedicated support for Federal entitled customers - Contributing to internal and external knowledge bases - Providing on-call support on weekdays and scheduled rotational off-hours coverage - Collaborating with geographically distributed engineering, field, and sales teams You should bring excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer obsession, and professional expertise in troubleshooting at least two of: Linux systems (CLI administration), virtualization (VMware ESXi preferred), networking (layer 2/3), cloud, or enterprise storage. A degree in IT, Networking, or Cloud/Virtualization is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience. Fluent English proficiency is required; bilingual capabilities are a plus. The role is hybrid, with expectations to work onsite in Durham a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration and team alignment.
