Nutanix is seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer II to join a dynamic support team based in Bengaluru (with hybrid flexibility). This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring the reliability of cloud infrastructure services.
You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across virtualization, networking, and cloud technologies, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include collaborating with development teams to identify product defects and enhance serviceability, analyzing customer data to mitigate risks and improve product reliability, and fostering partnerships with technology partners for collaborative issue resolution.
You'll contribute to and expand internal and external knowledge bases, mentor junior team members to foster a growth-oriented culture, and gather customer feedback to drive product enhancements. The role includes rotational support coverage during weekdays and off-hours as needed.
The ideal candidate brings 7-9 years of experience in Systems Reliability Engineering or similar roles, with strong expertise in troubleshooting virtualization (preferably VMware ESXi), networking (layer 2/3), Linux systems, DevOps, cloud platforms, and enterprise storage. You should have proven experience directly resolving complex technical issues with customers, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and familiarity with partner technologies such as VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft.
A degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred. You'll need a customer-driven mindset, the ability to develop tools and enhance knowledge bases, and comfort with a hybrid work setup (three days per week in office). No travel is required, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while delivering outstanding support.
