Nutanix is seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer II to join its dynamic support team in Pune. This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues for customers while collaborating with product developers to improve system reliability and serviceability.
You will be responsible for analyzing customer data to identify patterns and mitigate risks, working with technology partners like VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft to resolve ecosystem issues, and mentoring junior team members to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. A key part of the role involves contributing to and expanding internal and external knowledge bases, championing customer needs by gathering feedback, and advocating for product enhancements based on real-world usage patterns.
The position requires strong expertise in virtualization (preferably VMware ESXi), networking (layer 2/3), Linux systems, DevOps, and cloud technologies. You'll need 4–6 years of experience in Systems Reliability Engineering or similar roles, with a degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for cross-team collaboration.
The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week in the Pune office to facilitate collaboration and team alignment, with flexibility for remote work on other days. You'll provide rotational support coverage during weekdays and off-hours as needed, with no travel required.
