Nutanix is a global leader in hybrid multicloud infrastructure, providing a unified platform to run and manage applications and data anywhere. The Technical Support Engineering team troubleshoots complex technical issues in customer environments and maintains an industry-leading NPS score above +90. In this role, you will be a customer-facing technical support engineer responsible for diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues in the field. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, debugging, and analyzing customer problems; performing cluster health monitoring and diagnostics; creating and maintaining knowledge base articles and FAQ documentation; testing new features and developing tools to improve product serviceability; and providing feedback to the development team based on customer use cases and field implementations. You will collaborate with technology partners (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft) to resolve ecosystem issues, contribute to internal and external knowledge bases, and serve as a champion for customer success. The role includes weekday support during business hours plus scheduled rotational on-call coverage for after-hours issues. The team emphasizes learning and continuous skill development. You will have access to comprehensive onboarding and training programs covering Nutanix products, virtualization, public cloud platforms, networking, storage, and databases. The ideal candidate is growth-minded, values teamwork and communication, understands the importance of solving customer problems, and is fluent in Japanese (native level or JLPT N1). Experience with cloud products, server operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows), networking, storage, databases, or virtualization is preferred. English reading/writing ability is a plus for technical documentation and engineer collaboration.
