AIRO Group is building next-generation Uncrewed Air Systems (UAS) that integrate aircraft, autonomy, avionics, and mission services for high-stakes environments where failure is not an option. The company focuses on contested logistics, tactical and long-range intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISTAR), and precision operations. As a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, you will own the complete technical lifecycle of autonomous drone systems from concept through field deployment. This is a hands-on technical role with significant scope and responsibility across multiple engineering disciplines. Key responsibilities include: • Develop comprehensive verification and validation (V&V) plans that map system requirements directly to test cases with full traceability artifacts • Lead cross-disciplinary integration efforts across electronics, firmware, mechanical, software, and network domains to resolve technical ambiguities and ensure complete interoperability • Plan, schedule, and execute all testing phases including integration, system, performance, regression, and acceptance verification at the complete air vehicle systems level • Design and build integration test benches, custom wiring harnesses, and physical fixtures to validate hardware interfaces under realistic operational conditions • Implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation environments to validate autonomous flight algorithms and system behavior before physical flight testing • Conduct live flight validation protocols and environmental testing to guarantee airworthiness and battlefield readiness • Develop automated testing pipelines and define physical interfaces for end-to-end system validation • Work directly with operators and field teams to ensure systems meet real-world deployment requirements This role bridges cutting-edge software autonomy with ruggedized flight hardware, requiring deep technical expertise in systems engineering, test methodology, and aerospace/defense standards. You will take complex drone designs from initial concept through rugged environmental testing and directly into operator hands.
