Helsing is a defence AI company developing AI-enabled electronic warfare capabilities for next-generation fighter jets. You will lead verification and validation (V&V) efforts for a cutting-edge aerospace program from concept through maiden flight.
In this role, you will own the V&V strategy and execution across hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) and software-in-the-loop (SiL) testing environments. Your responsibilities include:
• Design and develop high-fidelity simulation models and virtual prototypes using MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys SCADE, or C++ to represent aircraft components, electronic warfare systems, RF environments, and aircraft dynamics
• Create and integrate simulation models into HiL and SiL labs, ensuring seamless integration with the test infrastructure
• Develop tools for test procedure creation, execution, and automation, with integration to requirements management systems and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) frameworks
• Collaborate with software leads to define, derive, and validate high-level software performance requirements
• Negotiate system qualification requirements and methods of compliance (MoC) with customers and regulatory authorities
• Establish and maintain traceability across system qualification requirements and software development artifacts
• Develop a comprehensive V&V product strategy to ensure successful qualification of the final system and software
• Oversee preparation and authorization of all V&V documentation to meet aerospace and defence compliance standards
• Lead final software product qualification activities with customers and authorities
• Work with quality assurance to ensure all V&V deliverables meet established quality standards
• Coordinate with project management to plan V&V activities, monitor technical progress, and guide the team toward successful qualification
You will work with a world-leading AI software team on one of the most complex and impactful defence technology programs, requiring deep expertise in systems engineering, V&V methodologies, and aerospace/defence standards compliance.
