Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Strategic Defense team protects against ballistic, hypersonic, and air-breathing threats by building a software-defined command and control layer powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into real-time, 3D command and control.
You will join a rapidly growing Systems Engineering team focused on the Guam Defense System Battle Manager product, a new strategic business line within Air Defense. This role requires owning the technical success of end-to-end solutions across unique hardware and software product combinations, each optimized for different mission sets and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the capture of requirements and capabilities for system integrations
- Integrating emerging capabilities and bringing new products into the family of systems, scoping and executing combinations of hardware and software solutions (internal and external)
- Leading requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams and defining success amid ambiguity
- Scoping ideal system laydown, scrutinizing system performance, and ensuring deployed systems meet customer requirements
- Making tradeoffs across capability, timelines, risk, and cost to deliver outcomes
- Owning systems end-to-end with the ability to identify and solve problems between the seams
You will work closely with other strategic Command and Control programs within Anduril and travel up to 75% to customer sites. Experience with mid and upper tier Air Defense Command and Control programs is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4–6 years of hardware and software systems engineering experience
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or related field
- Demonstrated use of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) across program lifecycle
- Experience with tools: JAMA, Cameo, Matlab, Simulink, AFSIM
- Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or Rust for analysis and simulation
- Skilled in Statistics, AI/ML, MBSE, requirements construction/management/traceability, test and evaluation, verification and validation
- Demonstrated proficiency applying engineering standards into engineering processes or requirements
- Demonstrated experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and challenging problems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Up to 75% travel to customer sites
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with Tactical Data Links (TDL), Link 16 (design, integration, test)
- Familiarity with Linux OS and command-line tools for data extraction
- Previous experience in defense, naval, or aerospace environment
- Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, radar, optics, computer vision, wireless communication, software-defined radios, or networking
- Exceptional proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization
- Experience with mid and upper tier Air Defense systems in Army, Navy, Air Force, or Missile Defense Agency
