Conviva is an Operational Data Platform that helps businesses understand and optimize digital customer experiences through real-time, comprehensive telemetry across all devices. The company is trusted by industry leaders like Disney, NBC, and the NFL.
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build SDKs and libraries that power Conviva's data collection on Android, Android TV, and Fire TV devices. In this hands-on role, you will own the end-to-end development of analytics solutions, from problem definition through production deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build Conviva SDKs and libraries for Android platforms, following best practices and exposing easy-to-integrate APIs
- Develop agent analytics data collection to capture AI agent interactions within Android apps and link them to business outcomes
- Implement video analytics instrumentation for streaming players to capture quality, performance, and engagement signals
- Build app analytics solutions to track user interactions and behavior across Android applications
- Create advertisement monitoring solutions for mobile and smart TV ad streaming
- Own solutions end-to-end, translating functional requirements into production-ready products
- Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward technical solutions
- Collaborate with customers and the Integration team during deployment and ongoing support
- Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, and development teams to deliver continuously
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- 4-6 years of experience building Android applications, SDKs, and APIs
- Solid understanding of Java and Kotlin programming concepts
- Strong CS fundamentals including system design, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience working in small teams and delivering quickly with continuous deployment
- Fast learner capable of working independently on product features and sustaining existing ones
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to resolve issues quickly
- Clear communicator comfortable working directly with customers and integration teams
Desirable:
- Hands-on experience with AI agents, mobile applications, online video platforms, streaming video analytics, or digital analytics
- Experience with app analytics or instrumenting AI-powered products
- Experience working with global engineering teams across time zones
