Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer – Project Engineer V to serve as a senior technical authority and strategic integrator for high-complexity defense and aerospace programs. This is an enterprise-level individual contributor role focused on technical leadership without direct people management.
You will define and guide system architecture, integration, and verification strategies aligned with customer and mission objectives. Key responsibilities include overseeing engineering execution across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and major subcontractors, ensuring technical, cost, and schedule compliance. You'll lead technical baseline definition, configuration management, and system integration planning, and chair or provide executive-level support for major design and integration reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
As the primary engineering interface to executive management and DoD customers, you'll support technical interchange meetings and milestone reviews. You'll manage and approve Statements of Work (SOWs), subcontractor technical deliverables, and major supplier design inputs. The role includes developing and implementing advanced risk and opportunity management frameworks across enterprise-level programs, providing mentorship and technical oversight to project engineers and functional leads, and supporting proposal development and new business capture activities.
You'll guide adherence to systems engineering standards, model-based engineering practices, and configuration control, while driving organizational engineering process improvements, knowledge management, and best practices. This role is ideal for a highly experienced systems engineer who thrives in complex, mission-critical environments and wants to shape technical strategy at the enterprise level.
