Salary: EUR 54,000 - 75,000 / annual
Cloudflare is seeking a Systems Engineer to shape the future of its Email Service within the Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) department. ETI is where new and bold products are built and released, leveraging Cloudflare's unique global network to solve problems at massive scale.
In this role, you will own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions across all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. You will work backward from developer needs to reimagine email solutions using Cloudflare's edge network. On any given day, you might implement innovative solutions for deliverability, optimize time-to-inbox, or design APIs for new product features. You will interact with a variety of languages and technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, and Go.
The role requires flexibility to be on-call outside standard working hours to address technical issues as needed. You will be part of a culture that values curiosity over bureaucracy, leveraging AI as a partner in solving tough problems.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience with transactional email infrastructure at scale
- Strong knowledge of email deliverability and anti-spam standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, VERP)
- Knowledge of at least one modern strongly-typed programming language (Rust, TypeScript, or Go preferred)
- Experience with Cloudflare Developer Platform
- Proven ability to drive projects independently from concept to implementation
