Re:Build Manufacturing is revitalizing America's manufacturing base by operating an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform for aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics sectors. This senior-level Systems Engineer role is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise CAD, PDM, and PLM ecosystems across multiple manufacturing sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and optimize CAD systems (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA) across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, SaaS)
- Manage infrastructure including servers, storage, security, endpoint management, virtualization, and licensing
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve CAD system issues while maintaining SLAs
- Monitor system performance proactively using infrastructure monitoring tools
- Perform regular updates, patching, and security compliance work
- Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and manufacturing teams to ensure system reliability and scalability
- Mentor team members and lead automation and continuous-improvement initiatives
- Produce comprehensive documentation including build configurations, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
- Develop work plans with accurate time estimates and deliver within defined SLAs
- Leverage AI to streamline engineering systems administration
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years designing, implementing, and managing enterprise CAD, PDM, and PLM environments
- 5+ years engineering IT support experience across requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, and optimization
- Deep expertise with SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and CATIA (installation, configuration, licensing, performance tuning, customization)
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems including SolidWorks PDM and Siemens Teamcenter
- Strong systems engineering and infrastructure knowledge
- Scripting and automation capabilities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
