Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 / annual

Tomorrow.io is a weather intelligence and climate resilience platform building a satellite constellation for hyper-local atmospheric observation. The company combines proprietary satellite technology, advanced AI forecasting, and actionable analytics to help organizations and governments navigate increasing weather volatility. As a Systems Engineer, you will support the development, integration, and verification of integrated satellite vehicles for the weather observation constellation. You will translate mission objectives into technical requirements, develop verification and validation plans, manage system risks, and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high reliability and data quality. Key responsibilities include: - Contributing to the development of integrated satellite payload systems for constellation programs - Supporting requirements definition, interface coordination, integration planning, and test planning across the payload lifecycle - Collaborating with internal and external engineering teams, partners, and scientific stakeholders - Supporting architecture definition and technical design from concept through launch and operations - Contributing to system-level trade studies and performance modeling - Establishing and maintaining requirements, interfaces, and verification documentation - Identifying technical risks and supporting mitigation planning - Collaborating with leadership on technical performance tracking and integration test planning You bring 4-7+ years of experience developing, integrating, and testing complex engineered systems, particularly satellite payloads or similar hardware. You have strong working knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, payload integration, and performance modeling. You demonstrate proven experience in system-level architecture, requirements management, interface control, and verification planning. Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE), orbital mechanics, LEO constellation design, and space mission analysis tools (AGI STK, GMAT, Orekit) is expected. You collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary domains, communicate technical topics clearly to diverse audiences, and operate with integrity and accountability in dynamic, fast-moving environments.
