Anduril Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Air Defense team, which develops networked sensor and effector systems to detect, track, identify, and defeat unmanned aerial system (UAS) threats. The Air Defense Family of Systems represents Anduril's most complex fielded capability, with each deployment involving unique combinations of hardware and software products configured for different mission sets and customer requirements.
In this role, you will own the technical success of end-to-end solutions deployed to customers worldwide. Key responsibilities include leading the integration of emerging capabilities into the family of systems, decomposing requirements across cross-functional teams, defining system laydown and performance metrics, and ensuring deployed systems meet customer requirements. You will make critical tradeoffs across capability, timeline, risk, and cost to deliver outcomes, and own systems end-to-end with the ability to identify and solve problems across technical boundaries.
Required qualifications include 2–4 years of hardware and software systems engineering experience, a degree in Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Mathematics, or related field, and demonstrated proficiency in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). You should have hands-on experience with tools such as JAMA, Cameo, MATLAB, Simulink, and AFSIM, and programming languages including Python, C/C++, or Rust. Strong skills in statistics, AI/ML, MBSE, and requirements engineering are essential. You must be comfortable working with ambiguity, evolving priorities, and challenging problems, with excellent communication and presentation abilities. US work authorization is required, and the role involves up to 25% travel to customer sites.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Linux OS and command-line tools, prior experience in defense, naval, or aerospace environments, and background in robotics, autonomous systems, radar, optics, computer vision, wireless communication, software-defined radios, or networking.
