Ambiq is a semiconductor company on a mission to enable intelligence everywhere by powering the AI edge revolution with the world's lowest-power chip solutions. Built on proprietary sub- and near-threshold technology, Ambiq's chips deliver multi-fold improvements in energy efficiency. Since 2010, the company has shipped over 300 million units to customers building smarter wearables, medical devices, IoT products, and AI-powered edge applications. As Systems Architect in the Singapore development office, you will represent the Architecture function on-site and serve as the primary architectural guide for the Singapore development team. You will drive the architectural definition of Ambiq's low-power SoCs, with specific focus on subsystems and interfaces owned by Singapore—spanning audio, imaging and display, high-speed and general-purpose interfaces, and how the SoC connects to the external world. This is a critical cross-functional position working with software and hardware engineering teams, applications engineering, and field teams to ensure alignment with product requirements, design constraints, power and performance targets, and overall system architecture. Key responsibilities include: developing architecture specifications with flow diagrams, sequences, power/performance models, and pseudocode; interacting with customers to ensure alignment on key features and competitive positioning; supporting use case and test case development; creating integration specifications for system interfaces and external power management; collaborating with the FPGA team to bring up critical subsystem and interface features (audio, imaging/display, high-speed links); and working with software architecture to define data and control flows, APIs, and hardware abstraction layers. You will be part of cross-functional teams spanning design, research, development, production, marketing, sales, and operations across Austin, Hsinchu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Singapore. The company values innovation, collaboration, focus, learning, and achievement.
