Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering physical intelligence for autonomous vehicles and machines across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The company serves 18 of the top 20 global automakers and the US military.
In this role, you will own system validation and integration at the intersection of hardware and software. Rather than executing pre-written test scripts, you will architect Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test environments from the ground up for new OEM projects. You'll work directly with vehicle architecture, bridging functional gaps and designing comprehensive validation strategies even when requirements are incomplete.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assembling, configuring, and initializing dSPACE and Vector HiL test benches, lab cars, and test environments for new projects
- Building and integrating complex vehicle simulation models in MATLAB/Simulink and linking them with HiL hardware systems
- Analyzing high-level system requirements and designing complete validation strategies across multiple vehicle domains (ADAS, Powertrain, Body, Infotainment)
- Developing Python automation scripts to execute tests across simulated, bench, and prototype vehicle environments
- Configuring vehicle communication networks and assets (ARXML, K-Matrix) across CAN, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay, and LIN protocols
- Performing deep-dive failure analysis and collaborating with core engineering teams and OEM partners to troubleshoot system-level bugs
You should have 2+ years in automotive systems validation, embedded systems, or hardware integration with broad exposure across multiple vehicle domains. You're a self-starter with a "can-do" attitude, hands-on experience with dSPACE or Vector tools, proficiency in Python and MATLAB/Simulink, and practical knowledge of automotive network protocols. Nice-to-haves include AI/LLM-assisted coding workflows and prototype vehicle bring-up experience.
Applied Intuition operates in-office from its Stuttgart location 5 days per week, with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments.
