Graphcore is building the future of AI compute as part of the SoftBank Group. The company develops semiconductor, software, and AI infrastructure solutions, including custom IPU (Intelligence Processing Unit) hardware and the Poplar SDK.
As a System Software Engineer on the Drivers and Utilities team, you will contribute to the planning, design, implementation, and testing of low-level kernel drivers and user-space driver library code. You'll be part of the system software department (alongside the firmware team) and report to the drivers and utilities team manager.
The Drivers and Utilities team forms part of the broader system software group, working closely with software engineers developing the Poplar SDK and silicon/hardware engineers developing Graphcore's IPU solution. The team develops custom control software on the host in both kernel and user space, enabling customers to achieve maximum performance and utility from Graphcore's cutting-edge products.
This role offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure that bridges hardware and software, supporting the deployment of advanced AI compute systems at datacenter scale. You'll collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and contribute to technology that powers the growing SoftBank AI ecosystem.
