As a System Engineer for Electrical Integration, you will support the design and development of next-generation flight vehicles and edge compute/communications systems. You'll work within a cross-functional team spanning hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers to define requirements, architect solutions, and drive complex electro-mechanical and aero-performance design trades.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end solution development by collaborating across functions to define requirements and system architecture
- Designing, developing, and maintaining system components meeting functional and performance requirements in complex distributed environments
- Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability, scalability, and resilience
- Ensuring seamless integration of electrical, software, and hardware components
- Defining and documenting engineering processes while maintaining quality and regulatory standards
- Supporting the full product lifecycle from development through production and sustainment
You'll leverage simulation and rapid prototyping to drive design decisions, work in Agile/Scrum environments, and develop automated test frameworks. The role requires hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience with complex robotic systems, familiarity with systems modeling tools (Cameo), and scripting capability (Python, MATLAB). You'll travel domestically up to 25% for test planning and execution, with primary work at the Costa Mesa headquarters.
