ICEYE is a space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) company delivering synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology to governments and allied nations. The company operates globally with over 900 employees and serves defense, intelligence, security, maritime, civil protection, and commercial sectors.
As a Supply Chain Specialist in Mechanics & Structures, you will ensure critical satellite components are delivered on time and to specification. You'll play a key role in enabling ICEYE's satellite production by securing reliable supply of mechanical and structural components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of satellite components
- Execute procurement and conduct strategic sourcing of both custom-made mechanical parts and off-the-shelf products
- Work closely with technical experts to ensure highest quality and reliability of deliverables
- Maintain communication with vendors regarding changes to orders, drawings, and item specifications
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, freight, lead time, and shortage recovery
- Manage quality issues with an efficient, practical, solution-oriented approach
- Mitigate foreseeable and unforeseeable supply risks
You will report to the Supply Chain Manager within the Global Manufacturing Organisation / Supply Chain department and work in a hybrid model from Espoo, Finland. This is a permanent position subject to applicable security screening.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must haves:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain / Procurement within Aerospace, Engineering, or industrial manufacturing
- Experience with mechanical parts (metal plates, sheets, structures, etc.) in terms of production, manufacturing processes, procurement, and supplier management
- Basic knowledge in vendor qualification, vendor auditing, and vendor onboarding
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Proficiency with ERP systems
Nice to haves:
- Quality management standards and certifications (ISO 9001, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability in mitigating delay risk, price escalation, and logistics challenges
- Technical understanding of metallurgy, welding, and complex manufacturing processes
- Previous experience in satellite engineering, aerospace, or aviation industry
