Grüns is a fast-growing nutrition company (gummy supplements) seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to own day-to-day purchase order execution and inventory management as the company scales. You will report to the Director of Supply Chain and work directly with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and 3PLs.
Key responsibilities:
- Own purchase orders from creation through production, shipment, receipt, and exception resolution with no dropped follow-ups
- Run the operating cadence with external partners (suppliers, manufacturers, 3PLs), ensuring every confirmation, delay, and committed date has clear ownership
- Maintain the source of truth for available, inbound, and at-risk inventory so the team always knows what is in stock, what is coming, and what is at risk
- Spot shortages, production delays, material constraints, freight risk, and inventory imbalances early; escalate with recommended actions, not just flags
- Build Claude-powered workflows to turn raw PO, inventory, production, and freight data into exception lists, supplier communications, meeting recaps, and decision-ready summaries
- Standardize reporting, documentation, and recurring workflows; write SOPs to handle higher volume with fewer manual errors
The role is fully remote and part of Grüns' remote-first culture, with biannual in-person off-sites. This is a hands-on, high-ownership position focused on protecting product availability during rapid growth.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, operations, procurement, production planning, logistics, or inventory management (working close to the physical flow of product, not just reporting)
- Experience in or around fast-paced CPG, food/beverage, supplements, wellness, beauty, or other physical-product business (strongly preferred)
- Direct coordination with external suppliers, manufacturers, or logistics partners; ability to hold them to deadlines across multiple workstreams
- Hands-on experience with an ERP, inventory, or order management system (NetSuite-style); ability to pull and organize clean source data independently
- Daily use of Claude or other AI tools for real operational work: strong prompt writing, reusable workflow building, and validation of outputs against source data before acting
- Demonstrated examples of catching problems early and driving them to resolution
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; proactive follow-up before deadlines
- Comfortable in ambiguity; able to build structure in evolving processes
- Extreme ownership mentality; closes loops and communicates risk early
- Collaborative, low-ego approach while holding internal teams and external partners accountable
- Treats AI as a force multiplier, not a substitute for judgment
