Saronic Technologies is seeking a Supply Chain Planner II to manage and optimize the flow of materials, components, and information for autonomous surface vessels used in maritime defense. This role is critical to forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and supporting production, new product introduction (NPI), and non-steady state operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will own end-to-end tactical supply plans supporting NPI builds, production builds, and off-nominal builds. Key responsibilities include translating engineering demand and build schedules into executable material requirements within ERP/MRP systems, optimizing factory planning parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, planning fences, reorder strategies) to improve material flow and reduce shortages, and driving BOM maturity and change management by assessing material impact of engineering change orders (ECOs) and managing cut-ins/cut-outs. You will identify and mitigate material readiness risks related to design instability, supplier capacity constraints, long-lead components, and quality performance through structured risk registers and recovery plans. You will ensure accurate master data governance (BOMs, routings, planning attributes, supplier parameters) to enable reliable MRP outputs and production readiness signals. Cross-functional partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement is essential to align supply execution with build plans, capacity constraints, and program priorities. Additional responsibilities include establishing and monitoring material readiness metrics (shortage tracking, kit completeness, on-time-to-build, supplier on-time delivery, inventory health), leading shortage resolution and recovery management including root cause analysis and systemic corrective actions, developing and implementing supply planning processes and workflows to improve repeatability and scalability, analyzing supply chain performance data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements, and ensuring compliance with DoD program requirements, audit readiness, and traceability standards through disciplined documentation and system controls. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred) - 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning or management, ideally in a manufacturing environment - 1+ years of experience with NPI/Change Management operations - Experience with defense or advanced technology products is a plus - Strong knowledge of supply chain management software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) - Experience with supply planning, with emphasis on new product introduction - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of DoD regulations, standards, and compliance requirements for defense-related manufacturing (preferred) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic startup environment - U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or protected asylee/refugee)
