You will own the foundational data engine and operational processes powering Verkada's end-to-end supply chain planning ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain operations and data engineering, requiring you to build, monitor, and maintain the connected data flows that planners, cross-functional stakeholders, and external suppliers depend on for daily execution. Key responsibilities: **Foundational Data & Pipeline Ownership:** Own and govern the core data layer and automated pipelines powering planning processes—including item master data, lead times, and purchase orders—as data flows between systems. Build and maintain reliable, reusable datasets ensuring high-integrity data flows and reliable system syncs across product lines, regional warehouses, and external suppliers. **System Health & Incident Triage:** Serve as the first line of defense for planning pipeline failures and system discrepancies. Rapidly trace data sync errors, diagnose root causes across connected platforms, and drive fixes with internal and external partners. **Data Operations & Refresh Execution:** Own and run the operational cadence keeping planning data trustworthy. Drive recurring data load and refresh schedules to completion, enforce automated quality checks, manage change control for data updates, and convert manual, repetitive workflows into scalable, automated processes. **Reporting & Analytics:** Partner with team members to build operational dashboards powering day-to-day execution. Collaborate with supply chain leadership to define impact metrics and transform raw data into actionable insights. This is a full-time, in-office role requiring 5 days per week on-site in San Mateo, CA. **Requirements:** - 4+ years in Data Operations, Supply Chain Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence; direct supply chain/manufacturing data experience preferred - Experience with ERPs (NetSuite), supply chain planning platforms, and warehouse management systems - Advanced SQL (BigQuery, Snowflake); experience with cloud data warehouses; comfort building automation in Google Apps Script, Python, or similar scripting tools; Excel/Google Sheets modeling required - Experience managing data refresh SLAs, monitoring pipeline execution, and building operational workflows to ensure system health and data accuracy under tight deadlines - Strong ability to translate supply chain business needs into precise technical requirements; proven track record untangling ambiguous, multi-system data discrepancies (e.g., reconciling tens of thousands of records across platforms), documenting findings precisely, and driving fixes cross-functionally to closure - Must be willing and able to commute 5 days in office - Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available
