Verkada is a rapidly scaling physical AI platform company with 30,000+ customers (including 100+ Fortune 500 companies), a $5.8B valuation, and $1B+ in annualized bookings. The company provides integrated solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management across 170+ countries. You will own the strategy and operations for Verkada's aftermarket business, managing the full post-sale lifecycle of hardware products including refurbishment, spare parts, end-of-service transitions, and non-revenue inventory disposition. Key responsibilities: **Refurbishment Strategy & Vendor Management:** Own the strategic decisions on which products to refurbish and where, when to sunset products from the program, and directly manage the primary refurbishment vendor relationship. You'll control production planning and prioritization across refurb sites to align throughput with demand. **Quality & Production Oversight:** Establish and enforce quality control standards for refurbished units, drive resolution when quality or output falls short, and partner with internal stakeholders on day-to-day operations. **Spare Parts Program:** Own end-to-end spare parts strategy including setup, stocking decisions, fulfillment, internal and external catalogs, and ordering experience. Define the spares approach for products at or past end-of-service. **End-of-Service Strategy:** Own the strategy and execution for transitioning products through end-of-service, balancing customer impact, cost, and inventory exposure. **Non-Revenue Inventory & Disposition:** Own KPIs for non-revenue and returned inventory turnaround. Set disposition rules determining how returned inventory is processed, resold, or retired. Drive fulfillment of non-revenue demand across the business. **Warranty Support:** Serve as the supply chain counterpart to quality and engineering teams on warranty returns, helping establish and refine triage processes at the refurb center and ensuring engineering gets units needed for investigation without delay. This role requires 5 days per week on-site at the San Mateo, CA office. **Requirements:** - 4+ years in reverse logistics, aftermarket operations, refurbishment, or closely related supply chain discipline - Track record of directly managing an external operational partner—setting expectations, holding performance to standard, and resolving issues in real time - Comfort setting rules and standards (e.g., disposition criteria, quality bars) where no playbook exists, and defending decisions with data - Proven ability to take a broad, open-ended mandate from leadership and shape it into a concrete plan, bringing your own point of view on the right approach - Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes through people who don't report to you—coordinating across warehouse, engineering, quality, and other operational teams - Data fluency: comfortable defining KPIs, pulling your own data to support decisions, and using data to catch problems before escalation - Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally - Must be independently authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available for this role
