Amca is rebuilding America's industrial base for critical defense and aerospace manufacturing. The company operates seven factories nationwide and manufactures avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for platforms including the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams. As Supply Chain Engineer in Business Operations, you will serve as the first technical reviewer for all incoming strategic growth opportunities. This role sits at the intersection of engineering feasibility and business strategy, requiring you to evaluate whether Amca's factories have the design capability, manufacturing capacity, and supply chain access to deliver on new contracts. Key responsibilities include: - Review engineering specifications and drawings to assess manufacturability and alignment with Amca's factory capabilities - Evaluate design complexity, material requirements, tolerances, and process constraints to develop accurate cost estimates and competitive bid pricing - Make go/no-go recommendations on opportunities based on technical feasibility, capacity, risk, and strategic alignment - Collaborate with factory engineering and manufacturing teams to validate production approaches, lead times, and tooling requirements before bid submission - Develop and refine internal pricing models and supply chain strategies You must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand manufacturing processes across multiple factory types, and translate technical constraints into sound business decisions. This is a high-impact role where your technical assessments directly influence which opportunities Amca pursues and how competitively it bids.
