Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Intelligence Systems team focuses on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community customers, developing and deploying critically needed capabilities for national security requirements.
The Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Electrical is a high-profile, cross-functional position that plays an integral role in enabling development and production flow of Anduril's critical supply base. You will work in close coordination with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing departments as well as directly with suppliers to execute effective, creative, and smart supply chain strategies to achieve production goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own and manage electrical commodities/subcategories (cables, harness, capacitors, connectors, PCB/PCBA, chips, etc.) to execute supplier production strategies (NPI to full production) across Anduril's business lines
- Serve as a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and overall commodity strategy, demonstrating strong ownership, proactivity, technical excellence, creativity, self-direction, and courage
- Vet suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for supplier inclusion in Approved Supplier List
- Support Supply Chain Product Sourcing Engineers, Global Strategic Sourcing Management, and Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring suppliers' understanding and adherence to quality criteria
- Own bringing up new production tooling and lines at supplier sites to ensure materials, processes, and tools meet product performance, quality, and demand requirements
- Own capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up at supplier locations
- Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at suppliers
- Identify and drive product and process improvements and factory layout optimization to lower part cost, reduce supply risk, eliminate defects, and improve cycle time
- Support root cause task forces by working with Supply Chain team and suppliers, and be responsible for closing the loop on corrective/preventative actions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with specific category technical expertise in electronics manufacturing, SMT processing, GD&T
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industry
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environment
- Exposure to working in fast-paced, start-up environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
