True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment for the U.S. and its allies. As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in building and sustaining a world-class supplier base capable of delivering flight-quality hardware to orbit.
Reporting to the Manager of Supplier Development, you will support the identification, qualification, and continuous improvement of suppliers across key technical domains including Propulsion, Structures, Power Systems, Avionics, PCBA, and Harnessing. This role bridges engineering and supply chain, requiring someone who can work effectively with both internal engineering teams and external suppliers while driving lean principles and scalable, resilient processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the supplier development lifecycle—qualification, performance management, and continuous improvement across multiple technical domains
- Execute supplier qualification processes including technical audits, capability assessments, risk assessments, and first article inspections (FAI)
- Develop and implement supplier quality programs including scorecards (tracking FPY, RTV, OTD), quality clauses, and flow-down requirements for purchase orders
- Conduct supplier performance reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective actions
- Support cost reduction initiatives and supply chain resilience planning
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and program management to ensure suppliers meet True Anomaly's rigorous standards for quality, cost, and schedule
You will thrive at the intersection of engineering and supply chain, with strong technical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to influence without direct authority. Experience with aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing supplier management is highly valued.
