Atoms is building Physical AI—real-world robots for industries including food, mining, and transport. The company integrates hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate to deploy and operate autonomous systems at scale.
As Subrogation Specialist, you will own the recovery process for damages to Atoms vehicles and losses paid by the company. You will identify recovery opportunities, build comprehensive files using telematics and dashcam evidence, and pursue at-fault parties and their insurance carriers. This role directly impacts the bottom line through measurable recovery returns.
Key responsibilities:
- Review new and open claims to identify subrogation and recovery potential, including deductible recovery
- Build and document recovery files using police reports, Samsara telematics, dashcam footage, repair estimates, and driver statements
- Pursue at-fault third parties and their insurers; present demands, negotiate, and drive claims to recovery
- Manage inter-company arbitration filings and responses (e.g., Arbitration Forums) where negotiation stalls
- Apply comparative and contributory negligence principles by jurisdiction to maximize net recovery
- Track recovery metrics—dollars identified, pursued, and collected—and report results to Risk leadership
- Partner with Claims Coordinator, Claims Manager, and legal on litigated or high-value recoveries
Success is measured by consistently identifying recoverable dollars early, growing net recovery dollars quarter over quarter, and maintaining well-documented recovery files that win in negotiation and arbitration.
The role is based in the Dallas office with five-day-per-week onsite work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of auto subrogation experience (carrier, TPA, or fleet)
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of collected recoveries
- Working knowledge of comparative/contributory negligence and inter-company arbitration procedures
- Familiarity with auto physical-damage estimating and total-loss valuation
- Nice to have: adjuster license, arbitration experience, and comfort working from telematics/video evidence
