You will join a team of passionate engineers dedicated to advancing aerospace through a flat organizational structure emphasizing engineering excellence. The team operates as generalists with specialist depth, moving fast while maintaining pragmatic, high-quality standards.
In this role, you will contribute to the design and analysis of composite and metallic structures for high-performance aircraft. You'll support structural layout and configuration development under guidance from senior engineers, performing CAD modeling, drawings, and basic structural analysis using hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA). You'll assist with trade studies that balance performance, weight, cost, and manufacturability considerations.
You'll collaborate across disciplines with aerodynamics, propulsion, manufacturing, and test teams to define and support structural requirements. You'll participate in design reviews, support manufacturing activities, and contribute to testing efforts. Documentation and configuration control of designs and models are key responsibilities. Throughout, you'll learn from experienced engineers and steadily grow your technical depth and autonomy.
The company emphasizes in-office work five days per week to foster collaboration and strengthen company culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in structural design and analysis
- Familiarity with composite and metallic materials, structural design principles, and manufacturing processes
- Hands-on proficiency in CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Exposure to structural analysis methods including hand calculations and FEA tools (Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Enthusiasm for learning, building, and contributing to innovative aerospace vehicles
