Arondite is a defence technology company building foundational software and AI to power autonomous systems. The company is expanding into Canada and establishing a local presence in Ottawa to build relationships with the Department of National Defence (DND), Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), and the broader Canadian defence and public-sector ecosystem.
As Strategy & Partnerships Lead, you will spearhead Arondite's Canadian market entry and business development efforts. This is a strategic, hands-on role combining relationship-building with execution. You will identify high-value problems for Arondite's Cobalt product to solve, establish trusted relationships with defence and public-sector stakeholders, develop partnerships with Canadian organizations, and position Arondite as a credible participant in the Canadian defence innovation ecosystem.
Key responsibilities include leading early business development and strategic engagement in Canada; building and maintaining relationships with DND, DRDC, IDEaS, federal innovation programs and adjacent public-sector organizations; developing relationships with Canadian prime contractors and technology partners; identifying, qualifying and progressing commercial opportunities; conducting structured customer discovery to test demand and refine positioning; translating market signals into product insights and go-to-market recommendations; supporting partnership structuring, pricing discussions, proposals and negotiations; representing Arondite credibly with senior decision-makers and media; and shaping Arondite's long-term Canadian presence through hiring insights and ecosystem mapping.
You will work closely with product and engineering teams to understand complex technical concepts, communicate them clearly, and contribute meaningfully to roadmap and deployment discussions. This role requires operating with high ownership and autonomy from day one in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. Significant opportunity exists to take on expanded leadership responsibilities as the Canadian operation grows.
