You will join as Head of Strategy & Operations, reporting directly to the VP of Operations. This is a leadership role managing multiple teams within the Supply Operations function, positioning you as the number 2 in the operations organization with significant scope to expand your remit.
The Supply Operations team owns candidate onboarding and marketplace operations—ensuring educators are matched and booked into schools efficiently. You will lead teams responsible for short-term bookings, long-term placements, and customer support, including managing a partially remote workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the marketplace operations team, including short-term bookings, long-term bookings, and customer support functions
- Own execution and drive performance improvement of the logistics and operations for dispatching teachers and teaching assistants to schools
- Establish and own KPIs related to worker availability, fill rate, liquidity, and operational excellence; develop experiments and processes to improve these metrics
- Conduct data analysis to report on operations team performance
- Manage line reports, support professional development, and grow the operations team
- Collaborate with sales and product teams to develop processes and product interventions that drive growth and automation
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in operations or strategy roles, ideally in early-stage marketplace startups or top-tier strategy consulting
- Experience defining and utilizing data to understand workflows, bottlenecks, and service improvement opportunities for large operational teams
- Knowledge of operational improvement frameworks such as Kanban, Agile, Six Sigma, or similar (strong plus)
- Experience leading and growing a team of 25+ that includes remote workforce members
